Emergencies and Degraded Modes
Remember: Aviate, communicate, coordinate — for ATC also.

- Give priority, simplify traffic and reduce pilot workload.
- Protect airspace around emergency aircraft and coordinate with all affected units.
- In equipment failure, revert to published degraded mode procedures.

- Know 7700, 7600, 7500, minimum fuel and MAYDAY/PAN response.
- Know STCA/MSAW response and local emergency coordination flow.
- Be ready for radar/ADS-B/automation/VHF degradation.
