Identification
Remember: No identification, no surveillance control.
Core points
- Establish identity before applying ATS surveillance service.
- Use approved methods only: code correlation, position correlation, transfer of identification or automated identification where permitted.
- Be alert to misidentification, duplicate labels, wrong code and data mismatch.
Mumbai application
- Busy Mumbai screen can tempt assumption. Do not assume identity from position alone unless procedure supports it.
- After handoff, confirm the data block and actual target behaviour make sense.
- Question unusual route, level or speed early.
